Historic Organ Plays Again

Nancy and Fred Cline invite you to join them in celebrating the grand unveiling of the historic John Bergstrom & Sons Pipe Organ built in 1897 in San Francisco.

Guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary wine and cheese reception and recital by esteemed organist, John Karl Hirten. John has performed regularly throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, having appeared with the San Francisco Symphony, the Berkeley Symphony, American Bach Soloists, the Oakland East Bay Symphony, and the Oakland Ballet.

The organ was initially gifted to the First Congregational Church of Sonoma by Sophia Craig in 1897. It was described as being “a model of beauty and exquisitely lovely in tone.” The organ helped commemorate weddings, births, holidays and funerals for more than a 100 years and is a part of Sonoma’s history. When the church was unable to maintain the organ, Nancy Cline offered up a new home at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards.

We hope you’ll join us for what promises to be an amazing afternoon of music and history.
