BBQ Tri-Tip Slider

Suggested Wine Pairing: Jacuzzi Valeriano


  • 2 1/2 pounds tri-tip steak
  • 1 1/2 tbsp your favorite BBQ rub (we used Santa Maria Seasoning Mix)
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce (we used a fermented Apricot BBQ, but we also love good old Sweet Baby Rays)
  • 1 box slider buns


  1. Pre-heat your grill to high
  2. Season the tri-tip with the BBQ rub and place on grill
  3. Sear the meat on one side for about 4 minutes and then repeat on opposite side
  4. Move to the side of the heat source and lower heat, grill for about 20 more minutes turning 1-2 times
  5. Cook until meat reaches 135 degrees, remove from heat and cover loosley with foil
  6. Place buns on grill for 2 minutes or until slightly charred
  7. Serve and enjoy!
