Arneis known as the “little rascal” is an interesting variety grown in the Piemonte region of Italy and used primarily as a blender to diffuse the ruggedness of Nebbiolo. Often a difficult grape to grow, very few acres exist here in California.  These grapes hail from Paicines in San Benito County, where cool coastal breezes produce highly concentrated Arneis fruit.  This medium-bodied wine has refreshing lemon and lime nuances with a hint of spearmint.
